Type Of Brake Fluid

I have a 2005 Acura TL and wish to change the brake fluid. The owner's manual says to use Honda brake fluid. I've been using generic brake fluid in numerous other vehicles most of which are European with never a problem for over 30 years.

Should I use Honda brake fluid or will any good DOT 4 suffice?

In my opinion you must go with the genuine Honda brake fluid.
