I know we have all seen the videos of major manufacturers attempts to create an anti-collision system and the resulting failure of those tests. However, it seems that their is a bit of false advertising on those systems. We, the consumer assume that anti-collision means it will keep us from crashing, but the reality, as revealed in an article I just read, seems to be that they are actually designed to make the crash easier to survive. As an Acura tech is quoted as saying "You’re going to trade paint".
I thought you all should know how the systems really work so you don't end up spending money on something that doesn't do what you think it does.
