um how much u looking to spend. because u can get a nice used porsche for under 20 grand and even cheaper depending on the year and model. but u could also go with a bmw or audi or just a nicely painted mustang or camaro will do the trick too. i have a camaro now that kinda looks like crap - front is busted up from previous owner and a fender is in primer from getting backed into but i still get people staring at it bc its loud and its just a nice car and people know that. hope this helps

NSX's aren't that expensive to insure... I'm sure a lot depends on the typical type of driver for an NSX is usually an older more experienced driver with multiple cars. I think I was paying about 1000 a year for my NSX.. while my MDX I had at the same was about 900 a year. So my NSX was only about 10% more than my SUV (I was using State Farm at the time). Maintenance isn't bad.. although some major things are going to be expensive.. Clutch replacement 2k, timing belt 1.5k, oil change about 2x regular cost, brakes about the same as regular performance car though. Things like air conditioning parts can get pricey which often needs maintenance after 15 years. Tires will wear out about 3x as fast as regular car (more so the rears than the fronts).. figure about 8 to 12k for rears.. which for most people is 2 years worth of driving. 99% of NSX owners have a primary vehicle so usually driving 4k to 7k a year.. (another reason insurance rates are lower). For more information about nsx ownership go to www.nsxprime.com. Best car I ever owned.. always looked over my shoulder when parking it walking away because it was so beautiful... never got old even after years of ownership. Not the 'fastest car' of course, especially nowadays with 400 hp daily drivers common.. but was complete joy to drive, very tight great handling car. Just know that if you don't like the stock performance it is very very expensive to boost horsepower if your not happy with stock. Figure 12-20 thousand for basic turbo / ctsc supercharger + big brake kit. Might need larger wheels over stock if going with most bbk kits since NSX came with 16/17" wheels stock. BBK kits really only necessary though if your planning on tracking your car on regular basis.

Don't know what your price range is but older 91 nsx's in good shape are around 25k to 27k 95' are about 30 to 36k.. and 97+ (model change) start around 35 to 45k 02 to 05 are around 40k to 60k. Keep in mind that getting a loan for an older 91 to 95 going to be harder to find, and if you find you will be paying a fairly high interest rate so try and pay cash for the older cars if you can. Salvage NSX can be found for 17k to 25k but you might end up paying a lot for replacement parts that need to be replaced which will negate any savings in potential resale value down the road. One thing about the NSX though is that it does hold it's value extremely well. The values on the 91's to 96's have change little in the last 10 years... meaning if you find a nice example 97 for 38k or so will will maintain that value if take care of the car... probably could sell the car 5 years from for about the same price.
