I have a black 1998 Acura 3.5 RL. I was scraping ice and snow off of it the other day and today I noticed that I actually scuffed the paint, making it a grayish color. It's only noticeable from certain angles but I want it to be gone because it looks pretty bad when you can see it. There are about 3 long thin scrapes about a foot long- on the side, on the truck and on the hood.

Does this sound like a paint job I can do myself or would it be best to take it to a shop? I tried looking online but couldn't find the shade of black for my car model- does anyone know? And does anyone know any good places to purchase the paint from?

Also- on the hood of the car are two raised painted metal things that spray windshield wiper fluid out. The one on the driver's side stopped working, but the passenger's side one is fine. I can actually lift the metal thing up so I'm thinking something is detached? I really don't know much about cars so I'm not sure. Anyone know what this thing is even called so I can do some research?

If you only scuffed it then you may be able to buff it out, most auto part stores carry compounds and scuff repair. A deep scratch on the other hand may need some professional care.

the little metal or plastic sprayers on the hood are winshield washer nozzles or sprayers. Open your hood to the car. look on the bottom side of the hood for tubing follow the tubing to locate the nozzles make sure there connected.
