How much on average would it cost to replace the starter? Over time, will it get even worse until one day it will not start even after trying 30 times? Any suggestions on a quick fix to help it until I can afford to get it fixed? I know that the starter in acuras are in the most impossible spot so it isn't as easy as popping the hood and changing it....like I wish it was. It always takes 2 turns of the key to start it. I never thought twice about it. How come now it is taking so long to start? What made it just start working so badly all of the sudden?
It isn't easy to switch out starters in an acura. You must jack the car up. Take off the wheel...and take out the CV axles. There is no way I can do it myself. I also consulted a friend that does car work and he doesn't he have the equipment to do it. Therefore, it will be hard for anyone but a trained mechanic to do it. I just wanted some ideas on what is going on...and how much.
