...one year is this normal? I've had this car for a little over a year .The brakes have been cleaned,rotors resurfaced,replaced all 4 rotors and brake pads,heat related run out on rear brakes and then told that all semi metallic brakes make noise.Is this normal on acura rdx or is this a lie?

Use ceramic not metallic, you can get them at napa, after that there will be no noise. If it is all heat related check the rear calipers.

No not all semi met pads will make noise, it is almost impossible to eliminate all noise on some cars but they should not grind or whine. I would try a different shop this one seems to not know what they are doing, 6 times in a year is not normal.
