1988 5 speed acura legend-power steering has become stiff. abruply turns out of control and is hard to straighten out. cylinder has power steering fluid.

rack and pinion unit is probably going bad in it,that's how they do when they start to go out,they will sometimes cut in one direction and be real hard to get straitened back out,you may want to have this checked they have been known to cause accidents by doing that,good luck.
