It has 140,000 mi. on it and apparently it's been maintained. Mechanics preferred to answer. Thanks! (How long can it last before major problems begin occurring?)

if properly maintained, should have no problem lasting over 200-250... now the transmission is a different story....

It usually depends on how the owner takes car of the car, but an average user can make it last around 120,000 to 190,000.

Those where made in Japan they will last forever! If you keep the oil changed regularily (probably every 2500 miles since it is an older car) and get other routine maintenance, and don't drive it like you stole it, then you'll get many more miles out of it.

Personally I love to see a good looking, older, high end car on the road. If its still in good shape it says something about the owner - smart!

Acura is manufactured by Honda, so those will last a very long time. Since you said it was well kept, expect 200k + miles. As long as you do an oil change every 2500-3500 miles, change what needs to be changed and so forth. you wont have a problem! :D

like you said if its been properly maintained then it can run up to 200k or more without a problem. just make sure the belts have been changed, fluids have been flushed, oxygen sensor replaced, spark plugs, air filter.
