I've had one autoshop tell me $276 for the part, plus $140 for labour.

I can see a clear ripoff, as I called another autoshop and they said $150, including labour.

Any advice?

The latter is more like it. But still sounds high.

$150 doesnt sound too bad but if your handy; go to your local U Pull It Junkyard and get one yourself. Id say $50-75 would be an acceptable range.

I've been in the business for over 30 years and never heard of a lower contour arm. How do you say the first shop is a ripoff. Did they get the part from Acura? Did the second place get it from a junk yard? Your question makes no sense at is lacking even the least bit of detail.
