I am considering buying a 99 Acura Integra. Low 72k mileage and extremelt clean. One item sticks out in that it has an apparent oil leak, but it is in a very odd place - under the radiator. The fluid is clearly oil and not radiator coolant or transmission fluid. The oil is on the bottom of the radiator on the middle to right passenger side of the car. There are two hoses running from the radiator to the block (as well as other larger hoses), and the bottom portion of the hoses have oil on them. The round plastic cowling has oil on it under the hoses. The block (which is about 8" away from the radiator) does not appear to have any oil on it. Whre could this oil be coming from. In 30 min there was some on the ground under this area of the car. ??? Thanks

Well it sounds like that Acura has a transmission oil cooler or motor oil cooler. They run to the radiatior or a smaller looking radiator behind or in front of the radiator. It might be that the hoses are old enough that its time to change them. Or the external oil cooler might have a small crack and its time to replace it. or it could be somehthing as basic as the hose clamps being loose. That is what i think. Hope i could of been of some help.

The person filling the oil may have spilled it on the engine. Check the exhaust tail pipe for heavy carbon bill up and black exhaust. If so suspect that the engine is shot. 72k maybe the second time around for the odometer.
