I am the original owner of a 99 Acura CL 3.0. The alternator went bad and the SRS light came on. Had a diagnostic run with a body shop and it had an error reading code 5-1, which the shop guy told me mean bad control box. It will cost $350.00 to replace. My questions is does it need to be??? and had anyone of you experience a similar problem??? Thanks in advance for any repky.

Also ran into the same thing...any feedback?
