View Full Version : Whats the Difference of an Acura RSX and a Type S?? Maverick23 11-07-2007, 09:44 PM When i went to the DealerShip.. I looked at the two Cars.. The Engines are the Same 2.0 Lit V-Tech... And i was like Huh?? what makes the Type S fast than a Regular RSX?? Isaque F 11-07-2007, 09:44 PM one is a whole lot faster then the other. go for the type-S ull be happy my friend deautophile 11-07-2007, 09:45 PM even though they have the same size engine they are tuned to a different output. the regular rsx is tuned to only 166 horsepower, the type s is tuned to 200 or 205 hp, depending on the year of the type s. on top of the difference in the engine output there is also a difference in the wheels, and the body. the type s has larger, better looking wheels, a lip spoilder in the back, type s badging, and sportier (deeper bolsted) seats. Chris 11-07-2007, 09:45 PM 6 speed manual trans. leather seating. same engine but tuned differently so the performance of the car is awesome.. alloy wheels and a whole lot more.. cdogg 11-07-2007, 09:45 PM with more ponies, about 210. with leather seat, and bigger wheel.overall, go for the type-s. oh, six-speed only, DK DC2 (Donx510) 11-07-2007, 10:02 PM Well 1st off, the RSX is the base model. While as the type-s the better car overall. They might have the same K20 engine, but the type-s has 210hp, while as the base model only has 160. People also say that the base RSX i-VTEC is more of an economical, while as the type-s is more like a B series. (More power) Also the RSX-S comes with leather seats 6 speed tranny only Red lettering i-VTEC instead of black Better engine faster Thats some things the rsx-s has that the base doesnt. Get the type-s, you wont be dissapointed. Yellowdog 11-07-2007, 10:03 PM The Type S has 200-205 hp (based on year) and the regular RSX has about 170, a big difference for a small car. However, you won't notice the difference as much below 5 or 6k RPM. |
