After going through some cars, I decided to get an Acura TL, the offer was just simply too good. Lets just say it was so good that the $5000 off that Honda was giving me for the new Accord coupe looked pale in comparison.

Anyways, I ended up getting a TL with navi, etc. I am picking it up either on Monday or Tuesday. Just wanted to know what other owners have thought of their car.
My previous car was a G35 coupe, and I loved that car. I know no car under $80k will make me as happy as the G coupe did, but I am hoping the TL will "suffice".

I think you're going to love your Acura TL. The G35 you previously owned is a nice car too but a completely different feel to it. I've owned Honda's and Acura's for years. Even though the Accord is a great car the difference of luxury and performance you'll notice in the TL will be well worth the money spent. The Navi is awesome and is one of the best in the industry. I really like the Navi and so will you. The sequential sport shift is a cool touch. The leather quality is tops. Proven engine technology and suspension make for a fun ride. It's just got the complete package. I wish you many happy years of enjoyment with your new car.

I drove a new 06 for about 2 weeks while my 01 was in the shop. Totally different car from the previous generation TL. More hp, which I liked, but it had a stiffer suspension and the ride was not as smooth. I live in the city and I could feel every hole in the road. But on the hwy it was smooth and accelerated very nicely, even at high speeds.

Eventhough I don't really want one and am looking at replacing my 01 with other cars I still think the TL is about the best value on the market for this grade of car. I don't think you can find a nicer car for the price - lots of features and this one is actually reliable (unlike the 00-03 TLs). Good luck, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

I hate to say, but I hated mine. I started looking for a new car after a year, and traded after two years. I'd never buy another.

I traded for a BMW and there is no comparison at all.

Also buying a car that is about to be obsolete in less than a year is also a mistake. Which is probably why they gave you such a good price on it.
