There's a button under the decal/above the license plate that opens the trunk when I push it. It's no longer working. Is it worth getting it fixed, or can I do it myself, and how?

If that's the way you like to open your trunk then you may want to have it fix. I'm sure your going to have to order the new button from the deal if that's the problem, you might take a good look at it and see that a wire has came oof.
