...is an acura integra 1993, 1.8 engine I bought aretrofit system and when I opened and read the instructions, it tell me that I need to empty the r12 before I can retrofit. I do not know whre to go to do this.

It wont be as cold as R12 unless you replace at least the compressor and reciever drier that is for R134. Trust me I retro my car and it sucked. My mitsubishi I have now is R12 and its staying R12. jgmafb 10-24-2007, 01:40 PM you need to go to an A/C shop because the system needs to be evac'd by a pro.But in all honesty you need to find a shop that still has the r12.When you change over eventually the press change blows your old r12 seals.(reguardless of what the kit and most shops will tell you.) mobilmen59 10-24-2007, 01:46 PM tHERE'S FREEON THAT comes that can be used in R12 systems.about $10 a can. |
