The caliper has a piston(s) that move in and out to apply the pads to the rotors. Call around to your local autoarts stores for prices on the calipers, and hoses for the front. Then, having these prices you can expect to pay 1.5-2.5 hours labor at your local shop on top of parts prices. Repair shops sometimes allow you to supply the parts needed, so ask first. If not, expect to pay about 30-40% more to them for the parts. Don't drive the car, have it towed. If you have abs, make sure the shop you take it to can service abs equipped cars. there are special procedures required to bleed the system, and if not done properly, will result in more problems for you. dreamsweetner 10-24-2007, 01:27 PM sound like a slave cylinder blew out your going pay around two hundred and fifty for parts and labor good luck! |
